Can GTA 6 Be Played on Android Devices?

GTA 6 is the next chapter in the long-running Grand Theft Auto series of games from Rockstar Games. While it’s been announced to be coming to PS4 and Xbox One, there’s no official word on whether or not the game will be available on Android devices. We take a look at what we know so far about GTA 6 and what you can expect when it finally launches next year.

The Story
The sixth installment of one of gaming’s most iconic franchises has no release date, and hasn’t even been announced by developer Rockstar. But that isn’t stopping GTA fans from wanting to know if they can play it on their mobile device of choice. Many gamers are wondering if GTA 6 will be available for Android, as well as whether or not it will ever come to Google Play. However, there are multiple reasons why that doesn’t seem like a possibility. First, Rockstar doesn’t publish games outside its own platforms—it only makes console and PC games.

The Graphics
If you’re a PC gamer, then you’ve probably been keeping up with GTA 5’s updates for some time now. Since its release in September 2013, GTA 5 has added some impressive new features including cars that are playable outside of missions and a freemode event called The Business Update. Some have speculated that future updates might add an actual car modding feature to GTA 5, but most believe that Rockstar will stick to smaller content additions for now (such as more clothing options). And since no one seems to know exactly what Rockstar plans to do next with their hit game, I suppose anything is possible.

The Controls
One of many things that makes GTA so accessible and addicting is its ability to be played on a wide range of devices. The newest installment, however, only seems to be available for play on PCs. But what about other devices like consoles and mobile phones? And does playing on your phone even make sense given how difficult it can be to operate a game with just one hand? Time will tell if that happens or not. you’ll have to keep your eyes glued (and fingers twitching) at home if you want to get your gaming fix.

The Multiplayer Modes
If you’re dying to get your hands on a copy of GTA 6, you might be wondering how much it will cost to purchase. Well, here’s some good news: Like its predecessors, it is highly likely that your copy of Rockstar Games’ next installment in their widely popular franchise will be playable for free. Some people may think that’s a bit ridiculous, but I strongly feel otherwise. I am certain that Grand Theft Auto: Online (GTAO) will be an amazing multiplayer experience and easily one of 2018’s best gaming titles.

The Sounds and Music
Regardless of what type of game you’re playing, a top-notch soundtrack will give it life. The music can set a tone for whatever is happening in-game or pump you up for whatever comes next. Video games are no different; choose wisely when it comes to picking a soundtrack for your title and play around with using sound effects too. There are lots of ways to incorporate sound into your gameplay; don’t be afraid to be creative!

The Map & Game Mechanics
The fun part of a new Grand Theft Auto game is figuring out what’s new and what makes each entry different from its predecessors. During our brief hands-on time with GTA V for PC, we noticed a few differences between it and previous games in Rockstar’s blockbuster series. The graphics are obviously much improved—PC gamers can look forward to high-resolution textures and higher-res draw distances. In terms of gameplay, we also noticed some significant changes to core elements like shooting, health and character movement. Each comes with an impact on how you play—for better or worse—which has us wondering whether these changes will actually be for everyone’s benefit.
