GTA 6: Who Are the Characters?
Rockstar Games has not released the names of any characters in Grand Theft Auto 6 yet, but that hasn’t stopped us from speculating about who might be showing up in the next installment of the open-world crime series. Here are some of the best guesses from fans and analysts around the web! Who do you think will appear in GTA 6? Tell us in the comments!
GTA fans may remember Franklin from GTA 5. He’s your quintessential GTA character; a gang member trying to leave his past behind, but always sucked back in by old habits. In GTA 6, you can expect to see him more often than Michael and Trevor combined. He’s also one of only two confirmed characters for sure (the other being your female lead).
It seems that there’s a bit of confusion surrounding GTA 6’s main character. Some sites are reporting that Trevor is not returning for GTA 6 and he’ll be replaced by a new character named Antwon. This simply isn’t true; both Trevor and Michael will be returning in GTA 6, just as they were in GTA 5. A few other sites are saying that they don’t know which three characters we can expect to see in GTA 6, however there will obviously be three main protagonists, so you shouldn’t pay too much attention to these sites. It’s more likely that they’re just waiting until Rockstar reveals them all to reveal their names too!
Grand Theft Auto V let you be Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. And while there’s no definitive word on who will be in GTA VI (yet), we think it’s a safe bet that at least one of them—and perhaps all three—will return. This is because Grand Theft Auto has always been about playing with characters over long periods of time, just like a TV show; it would be a strange move to make such an abrupt break from tradition.
Friends, Relatives and Associates
Grand Theft Auto is one of those game series that’s always on top of its game—and what we’ve heard about GTA 6 certainly sounds like a PC title. The rumors are only that, though, since Rockstar isn’t talking (and probably won’t until closer to release). What we know so far is that it’s coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as PC and will feature three protagonists instead of one. We also know there are currently four different cities rumored to be in development. What do they all have in common? They’re all based on existing American cities. are all in contention for inclusion in the game, but nothing has been confirmed at present.
A PC version of GTA 5 is in development and might be released within a few weeks. There are rumors that Rockstar is working on a PlayStation 5 version of GTA, but we have no evidence to support that at all. A website called Gamestop has suggested that they will soon begin taking pre-orders for GTA 6, which will come out next year. They say it’s going to be available for Windows PC and Xbox One, with an expected release date of October 2016. We’ve contacted them for more information about their source, but we haven’t heard back yet; regardless, don’t believe everything you read online… especially when it comes to rumors!
